Prophetic communities should exist within our local churches. They offer places of safety and advice. A community like this should offer space and guidance to bring about the gifting and character that God has provisioned for His Kingdom.
Things we need to cultivate in such communities
- Loving others into maturity
- Accuracy
- Sound biblical doctrine
- Good Character
- Encouraging supernatural experiences
- Worshiping and praying together
- Teachability and humility
- Friendship
- Obedience to God
- Talent and Skill
These are things are what we need to cultivate in communities to create a sustainable prophetic environment. Many of these character traits do not come easily to those who are prophetic, nonetheless they are important in keeping a prophetic community functioning in love.
